Two Traditional Celtic Songs That The Fans Should Bring Back

Celtic fans have a songbook like no other club. Irish ballads are totally unique in sport, but we also have a number of Celtic songs with verse and chorus too. Paradise rocks to the sounds of Celtic Symphony, Willie Maley and Hail Hail The Celts Are Here on a regular basis.

The Green Brigade have recently brought back some old classic Celtic songs. Indeed, we have heard Bye Bye Rangers, the World Club Championship Song and Piling on the Agony in recent seasons. These are fantastic to hear.

It would be great to reintroduce the Coronation Cup Song and the John Thomson Song. These are two stories that should be passed down the generations and two cracking songs.

Hailing from an Irish background, I grew up on the English south coast with the good fortune to begin watching Celtic during the Martin O'Neill era. I have written four Celtic books since the age of 19: Our Stories & Our Songs: The Celtic Support, Take Me To Your Paradise: A History Of Celtic-Related Incidents & Events, Walfrid & The Bould Bhoys: Celtic's Founding Fathers, First Season & Early Stars, and The Holy Grounds of Glasgow Celtic: A Guide To Celtic Landmarks & Sites Of Interest. These were previously sold in Waterstones and official Celtic FC stores, and are now available on Amazon.
