Unique Angle – Celtic open six points lead ahead of their Dens Park stress-fest

Ross County can count themselves lucky to have escaped from Paradise yesterday having only lost by a four goal margin against a Celtic side that could have administered additional punishment had they been minded to do so. Big Malky Mackay’s post-match gurning is to be expected from him but sometimes a hands up and a more gracious approach would be the best way to handle these type of situations. Celtic in that mood were just too hot for Ross County to handle.

Anyway putting that to one side, sit back and enjoy the Unique Angle as Celtic fit four goals through another  Giorgios Giakoumakis hat-trick and yet another goal from the amazing fast and hard working Daizen Maeda. Frighteningly for the other teams we have still to play this season, these two seem to be getting better and better as each game passes and they are about to be joined by Kyogo.

The strength in depth on that Celtic bench must terrify teams and that adjustment to the rules to allow five substitutions really is something that Ange Postecoglou is exploiting to the maximum.  From 6 points behind to 6 points ahead and the pressure is heaped onto the shoulders of theRangers who may have tired legs at Dundee today. They’ll have the referee primed to bail them out but it will be stressful for them trying to keep on Ange’s side’s coat tails.
