As we have all unfortunately seen, it was night to forget last night for the Hoops’ in Dingwall; a performance in which minimal effort was given in a game Celtic needed to win to secure a much desired result.
The majority of the 14 players out there didn’t look remotely interested; however one player in particular, Ryan Christie, should’ve been more up for this game than any other player out on that freezing Dingwall pitch, given his local ties to Ross County’s rivals Inverness Caledonian Thistle – the club where Christie started his career.
It wasn’t by any means the midfielders’ worst performance in the famous Green and White since he moved from the Highlands in 2015, and the midfielder was played in an unfamiliar role for some unknown tactical reason – only Neil Lennon will know why.
Nonetheless, this didn’t stop Celtic fans taking to Twitter to let their thoughts be known about how Christie, 26 years old today, fared against his boyhood rivals.
Said it for years, Christie is a very average footballer

Christie will no doubt be one of the various key players linked with a move away this summer – with Burnley, Arsenal and Leicester reportedly registering their interests in winter – but with performances like the one he made in Dingwall, Christie will be batting the suitors away one by one if he doesn’t improve quickly.
Not good enough, Christie had been stinking!! It’s getting embarrassing now Celtic.
