‘Very shortly’, Bankier gives January review update

Ian Bankier has reportedly told Celtic Fans TV that the outcome of the January Review will be released in a statement as the club announce their interim financial results that are expected soon. The host, Paul, wrote to Peter Lawwell requesting a an update on the promised review and he has had to wait over a month for a response.

However, today, the channel released an episode on Youtube detailing the response from Chairman Ian Bankier that promised the review details would be made ‘very shortly’. The club sent a brief letter stating that the outcome of the review would be released with the financial results, indicating that Neil Lennon would be in charge until (at least) the end of the season.

Celtic are currently 18 points behind Rangers with a game in hand. There were 12 points dropped in January and the club may rue the Dubai trip more than sticking by Neil Lennon by the end of the season. The club face a massive overhaul in the summer with a number of players expected to leave. Interestingly, outgoing Peter Lawwell didn’t reply to the letter but the CEO will be replaced by Dominic McKay in the summer.

  1. I’m a bit sick about hearing about the massive overhaul rabbit ears that is needed in the summer. The players are the best in the country , all we need is a new manager 🍀❤️
