Video: Abada gives Celtic the lead but United hit back

Celtic opened the scoring thanks to Liel Abada. The Israeli winger got on the end of a lovely cross from Jota on the left hand side to give Celtic the lead.

Just moments before, James McCarthy suffered a sore one after a bad tackle. However, the Celts pressed on and took a deserved lead thanks to Abada.

The 19-year-old has been a revelation since signing this summer.

United struck back shortly afterwards as Ralston was beaten on the right, only for Harkes to header the ball beyond Hart.

Celtic went up the other end in the hunt for another goal with Abada’s cut back to Ajeti from six yards out looking certain for a goal; however, the Swiss striker blazed over.

  1. There has to be an under-18 player who can replace Ajeti? If United score the next goal Celtic lose. Too slow most of the time. Lucky not to concede a penalty.

  2. This is a massive half for Celtic. Lose and it will be a collapse. But when you look at the team/squad it is a worry. Soro comes on. Good grief. And what is left on the bench. The boy Moffat might get a go as there is no one else. Poor squad, costing points.

  3. Ajeti is lazy. Soro is a half-wit with no self control. This is a nightmare season. Corner after corner without any joy. Poor old Ange will be sacked before February. The only thing worse and more frustrating than watching this is listening to Celtic Tv.
