Video: Alastair Johnston talks Celtic with Canadian media

Celtic defender Alistair Johnston sat down with Canadian media during the week to give an update on life in Glasgow. The humble Canadian admitted to loving his life in Glasgow after arriving before the World Cup in Qatar.

Johnston answered questions on his role, the relationship with Brendan Rodgers, what playing under Ange was like and his ambitions for the rest of the season.

The Celtic No.2 comes across really well and you can see he is a totally different person off of the pitch. On the pitch, Johnston battles for everything and gives opponents no quarter. He was a brilliant signing and, with his profile, he is likely going to attract interest from England in the future.

Meanwhile Thursday 19 October is going to be a very special day for The Celtic Star so please save the date…

John Hartson will be The Celtic Star’s guest of honour as we celebrate the launch of Matt Corr’s new book Majic, Stan and the King of Japan on Thursday 19th October at the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park. More information on the night and ticket details to follow…. Majic, Stan and the King of Japan tells the story of Gordon Strachan’s first dramatic and ultimately highly successful first season as Celtic manager and it was of course Big Bad John who scored the goal that won the league!
