Video: All Celtic Goals By Birthday Bhoy Robbie Keane

Former Celtic striker Robbie Keane celebrates his 41st birthday today, which is quite an extraordinary fact considering it feels like yesterday when he was banging in goals for the Hoops. Keane joined Celtic on a short term loan deal in February 2010 and was so prolific that he was named as the Fans’ Player of the Year at the end of the campaign.

Despite his impressive performances, he returned to White Hart Lane where his parent club sent him out to West Ham United before a permanent transfer took him to LA Galaxy.

Keane was welcomed to Paradise as a hero and repaid the fans with 16 goals in 19 appearances. However, it was not enough to recover ground in the title race or to lift the Scottish Cup.

Regardless, he gave us a great bit of entertainment for a few months and allegedly fulfilled a bhoyhood dream by signing for the club. Indeed Keane said: “The club is massive. I am a Celtic fan and did not have to ask much about it (the move). I always wanted to play for Celtic.”
