Video: All the goals as Celtic overpower Hibs 5-2 to reach the final

It looked like it was going to be an absolute stroll at one point this evening, Hibs were all over the place and Celtic looked capable of scoring every time they went forward.

Hibs got a couple of lucky breaks and gave it a good go in the second half. Paul Heckingbottom looks like a man on the verge of being sacked so he had to throw everything he could at trying to produce some kind of miracle. In the end it was mostly bluster as Celtic’s firepower ensured they reached the final.

Here’s a look at the Celtic goals from the game:

Elyounoussi continued his fine scoring form with a powerful header at the back post. James Forrest did well to dig out the cross and the keeper was nowhere to be found:

The second one might have been a bit fortunate, Douglas Ross MP proved he can be incompetent in a variety of jobs by failing to spot the offside, but McGregor still does well to get in and finish the move:

The third came from more great work from Eddy. One of the reasons he’s so highly rated and being tracked by plenty of teams is his all round play. It looked like he could’ve gone alone here, but he gave Elyounoussi another goal on a plate to crush Hibs after they pulled a goal back:

You can probably guarantee the Hibs half time team talk featured instructions to keep it tight and not do anything stupid to let Celtic run away with it. Broony won’t care that the keeper had a total mare as he pounced to score the goal that ultimately killed the game off:

Hibs did manage to get one back immediately to make it 4-2, but they couldn’t do anything to take the game within a goal. Many thought that Scott Brown might not even be fit to play today, but he scored his second and Celtic’s fifth to ensure Celtic would reach yet another final:
