Video: Ange on his Injury List, Sports Science solutions and Bodø Glimt

Ange Postecoglou opened his Media Conference this afternoon with an injury update and it looks like he’ll be unable to call upon either James Forrest or Mikey Johnston for the trip to Dingwall tomorrow night with both being added to the doubtful list for the League Cup Final on Sunday against Hibs.

Hibs incidentally after all that mouthing off about tickets and receiving an additional 2000 over and above their initial allocation are currently showing plenty of availability suggesting that, barring a late run caused by maybe the imminent appointment for former Celt Shaun Maloney as their new manager, there will be empty spaces at Hampden. With so many Celtic Supporters unable to get their hands on a ticket that is really frustrating and suggests that the SPFL should have held onto those 2000 tickets longer and released only when Hibs had sold out of their initial allocation.

Ange talks us through the injury situation, with nothing particularly positive being added about the likes of Kyogo who is the manager said roughly about a week away from being ready. Maybe he’s heading for an impact sub at Hampden if needed but if not being kept for the bigger fish Celtic need to fry after the final is over.

The Celtic boss looks forward to the European Conference League matches in February against Norwegian Champions Bodø Glimt and notes that the quality of the opposition, the Artic Circle location plus their plastic pitch will all be challenging factors but are games to look forward to next year.

The Celtic Fan Media are now regular participants with different sites or podcasts taking it in turn to appear. Today Andrew Milne from More Than 90 Minutes Fanzine and James Forrest from The Celtic Blog asked interesting questions on the squad players who featured against Betis, the same system and training that Tommy McIntyre is implementing in the Celtic B team and how that helps Ange and on sports science, with James Forrest posting out that both Neil Lennon and Brendan Rodgers had similar injury worries at this stage ion the season in previous years.

Here’s Ange speaking to the media – including the Celtic fan media – ahead of the bus journey to Dingwall to play Ross County tomorrow evening. The match incidentally is available on Ross County TV on PPV priced at £15 0(details below).
