Video: Ange Postecoglou reaction to Celtic’s 6-2 hammering by West Ham

Ange Postecoglou finally got the chance to see the true extent of the rebuild job he faces at this afternoon as Celtic were embarrassed 6-2 by a West Ham side who recently drew 2-2 with Dundee.

Asked for his reaction to the scoreline and the performance he admitted that he was disappointed on both fronts, saying that there were some bright things but “there were things that weren’t acceptable”.

“Disappointing overall, obviously they’re a quality opposition but irrespective there’s some things that showed promise but there’s others that were disappointing.”

Ange reckons that the attacking aspect of his side’s play was fine but the defensive was all over the place.

On the transfer front obviously he can’t add to the squad before Wednesday. “Football was the priority and we forgot to compete.”

Ange says he can’t shield players when things go wrong and he says they can’t hide. “Defensively we were very poor,” he added. Watch for yourself as he talks about the transfer window, with no-one coming in before Wednesday the focus with be on the Champions League match in midweek.

“I’m not interested in people being happy,” he said in relation to any player not wanting to be at the club. If they aren’t happy they can leave.
