Video: “Be The Dominant Team,” Ange Postecoglou’s Previews Motherwell match

Due to the games coming thick and fast Ange Postecoglou has no pre-match media conference ahead of tomorrow’s game in the Cinch Premiership against Motherwell at Celtic Park. Instead he spoke to Celtic TV after the win over Real Betis on Thursday evening to outline his thoughts on the challenge that Motherwell will present tomorrow afternoon.

Ange wants to maintain his team’s good form and will send out his starting eleven – whoever is playing – to “play our football” – and under Ange there is only one way, there will be no compromises or adjustments to the system to accommodate players or allow for injuries.

Owen Moffat looks like being involved tomorrow

He recognises that Motherwell are in pretty good form themselves at the moment but anticipates that they’ll decide to follow suit with all recent domestic visitors and decide to sit in. And Postecoglou reckons that’s a pretty valid tactic for these sides and notes that two – Dundee Unite and Livingston – have successfully left Celtic Park with a point each after earning a draw parking the bus.

As we’ve reported this morning both leading goalscorers Owen Moffat and Joey Dawson from the Celtic B team were NOT involved in the 1-0 away win on the Southern League last night over East Stirlingshire – young Rocco Vata got the only goal of the game to win the points for Tommy McIntryre’s young Hoops – and both are expected to be involved tomorrow.

Ange states that the players rested on Thursday evening will be back and it looks from the training images from Lennoxtown yesterday that Anthony Ralston could be back.

A likely starting eleven could look like this….

Hart, Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Juranovic; McGregor, Turnbull and Rogic; Abada, Johnston and Forrest.
