One of the more high quality moments from our game up at Dingwall yesterday afternoon against Ross County was the turn from substitute, Hyeongyu Oh. The big South Korean forward has been given some fantastic and well-deserved praise from his manager both at club and international level recently for his contributions to their teams and he showed a glimpse of his huge potential again in the Highlands.
Oh joined the action a bit later on when the Hoops were really looking to stamp their authority on the home side and get that second elusive goal. Kyogo Furuhashi missed an absolute sitter at one point, after some very good play by Daizen Maeda down the left-hand side, cutting it back for him to steady himself then knock it past the post.
We looked as if we could go on for an eternity and not score a second, so Postecoglou introduced the big man to the fray and he set about dragging Staggies players out of position with his big frame and quick change of pace at times. Their was one moment that was just out of the top-drawer when Joe Hart smelled the ball up top to find Oh at the centre circle.
The South Korean took the ball down and turned his man in a flash, leaving the young County centre-back bamboozled and wondering what had just happened. It was a little glimpse into what we can expect from Hyeongyu Oh moving forward as he develops at Celtic Park under Ange Postecoglou. Its exciting to see where the boss can elevate this young striker to.
Have a look at this for a turn…
