Celtic skipper Callum McGregor has reacted to the news that Manchester City talisman Erling Haaland would not take part in Sunday’s UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifier between Scotland and Norway. The deadly striker was ruled out after suffering an ankle injury in their win against the Faroe Islands, which rules him out of the final game of the group at Hampden Park tomorrow.
The Celtic captain said that he would have liked to have played against Haaland but that the squad are focused upon winning the game.
🗣️ “He scores goals for fun.”

Scotland fans were probably hoping to see Haaland but they knew that the Norwegian attacker would have likely found the target, such as he did in the last game between the sides.
Haaland’s goalscoring record is phenomenal with 69 goals and 13 assists in 71 appearances for City. His overall goalscoring record is 204 goals and 49 assists in 254 appearances.
