Celtic last night has posted the match highlights on YouTube of Celtic’s B team thrashing theRangers‘ B team 5-2 at Celtic Park yesterday afternoon on the Lowland league. It’s hopefully the warm-up for a great weekend of Glasgow Derby triumphs for Celtic who travel to Ibrox on Monday in the Scottish Premiership knowing that a win would increase the lead to 12 points in Celtic eyes but just six points if you listen to Mick Beale.
It was a cold, wet, and windy day at Paradise, but that didn’t deter thousands of fans from turning up on Derby Day. Celtic conceded a Penalty in the 15th minute, which was put away by Charlie McCann.
However, the Hoops equalised in the 38th minute with a strike from Rocco Vata. Celtic fell behind again in the 72nd minute due to a goal from James Graham, however, Celtic quickly equalised again through an outside-of-the-boot shot from MacKenzie Carse. Some late drama unfolded at Paradise as McCann, who opened the scoring, netted an own goal which gave Celtic the lead in the 82nd minute.
TheRangers consequently fell apart in the closing minutes of the game by concerning two more goals from substitute Joey Dawson, which both came after the 90-minute mark, leaving the final score at 5-2 to Celtic.
