As the young Argentinian left-back Alexandro Bernabei prepares for life in Scotland with the cinch Premiership Champions, he will no doubt have many things on his mind in relation to this momentous step in his footballing and personal development.
However, the youngster will no doubt miss Argentina, with his own culture and teammates at his soon to be old club Lanus. Memories are made and experiences are had throughout life in the game and this will be no different for 21-year-old Bernabei.
With this in mind, there has been a video posted on social media platform Twitter, which shows the burgeoning talent say his goodbyes to teammates and staff of Lanus. The video – posted by Fortaleza Granate – is quite emotional as he us caught in warm embraces with several individuals who no doubt have had an impact on the full-back.
As he heads for pastures new and the adulation and adoration of the Celtic supporters, his apprenticeship in Argentina will serve him well and he will of course carry this experience with him to Glasgow. Being the first Argentinian to play for the Hoops, he will be a trailblazer in this respect, but will have to carry the responsibility of being an ambassador of his home country and its heritage with him in Scotland.
Let’s hope he smashes it!
