Almost every league will have different teams that were dominant in different eras, so it’s rare to have one side who have always been either top or close to it.
The Twitter account for YouDataBelieveIt have worked out the all time standings for the Scottish top flight, and they’ve very generously allowed the Rangers to carry forward the points gained by a different club.

It’s actually interesting to see sides like Third Lanark, Airdrie, Clyde and Queens Park feature highly on this, which shows how good they were many years ago.
Ultimately Celtic sit well clear at the top of the table, and it’s hard to see the Rangers clawing this back:

It also shows how big the gap is between the top two and everyone else in the country, but that was probably an expected result from this.
Although it might not mean anything in the grand scheme of things, it’s just further evidence that Celtic are the most dominant side in the country.
