Video: Celtic open training session at Allianz Stadium in Sydney

Celtic arrived in Sydney to much fanfare and delight amongst the fanbase in Australia. The Hoops’ supporters down under will get the chance to see their heroes up close and personal with the trip from the Parkhead club now coming to fruition.

With weeks of international football on the horizon, the club sought a potential enterprise to keep the players active and do some great PR work.

With The Celtic Star posting earlier on today that Callum McGregor will be looking to step up his rehab in Sydney and get back onto the grass with his teammates, it makes for good reading ahead of the return to club football come 17 December. With Callum back into the fold, it really would make us a really formidable outfit domestically and something our foes should be wary of.

The Bhoys trained in the Allianz Stadium ahead of their clashes with Australia’s Sydney FC and English Premier League team Everton. Ange and his squad will play the A-League side on 17 November. This will be followed by the Goodison Park side on 20 November.

In the meantime, watch the team train in front of eager fans below…

And here’s Celtic TV’s Sydney Unfiltered which has just been released by the club…

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
