Video: Celtic striker scores injury time equaliser for Dundee

Jonathan Afolabi has scored a poacher’s finish to send Dundee to extra-time with a late equaliser against Bonnyrigg Rose in the Scottish Cup Second Round. The on-loan Celtic striker has saved The Dens Park side’s blushes after the Championship outfit were trailing to a first half penalty by the part-timers.

The Ireland youth Internationalist cancelled out Lee Currie’s penalty by popping up in front of goal and giving James McPake’s side a vital equaliser. The game will now go to extra-time to find a winner of the tie with no replays being used in the Cup this year.

Osman Sow drilled a header at point blank range but Weir in the Bonnyrigg goal palmed the shot away miraculously only for Afolabi to pounce on it with a poacher’s finish, similar to Leigh Griffiths against Hearts in the Scottish Cup Final last month.
