Video: Celtic train at the Nissan Stadium ahead of Yokohama clash

The Bhoys took to the field today to acclimatise to their new surroundings in Japan as they gear up to face-off against Yokohama F. Marinos. Brendan Rodgers and his men are well underway in their pre-season plans, after spending a great week in Portugal at a training camp and now heading on their highly anticipated Asian Tour.

Of course, due to the poor standard of organisation by the promoters in South Korea, the Hoops will now just be touring Japan instead and kick-off tomorrow morning at 11am agasint Kevin Muscat’s side. It’s a tie that is being much looked forward to by all supporters, but particularly those who are Japanese as they will get to see some of their national heroes in the flesh.

As well as our Japanese contingent, the majority of Brendan Rodgers’ squad trained at the Nissan Stadium ahead of the match tomorrow. There are some who have been left home at Lennoxtown who are either injured or seeking new employment as the Irishman attempts to trim his bloated squad.

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
