Daizen Maeda was unveiled as a Celtic player this afternoon after yesterday’s triple announcement. The trio from the J-League were announced before the window opened as Ange Postecoglou looks to bolster his ranks ahead of the second half of the season.
The attacker arrives on a loan-to-buy deal until the end of the season from Yokohama F Marinos, Postecoglou’s former employers. The 24-year-old was the joint top scorer in Japan last season and arrives to add to Celtic’s injury-stricken front line.

Maeda will wear the Number 38 shirt and he will arrive on loan but Celtic will exercise this option in the summer. The shirt number was the same one that he wore in Japan.
