Video: Celtic’s Alistair Johnston nullifies CCV in humorous international flashpoint

Celtic defenders Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alistair Johnston were pictured engaging during a bust up during Sunday’s CONCAF Nations League Third Place Playoff. Canada emerged winners but there was extra needle in the game due to President Trump’s comments about Canada.

During the match, there were handbags and AJ was involved in calming his Celtic teammate down.

In a historic 2-1 triumph over the USMNT in the match, Canada showcased their growing dominance. Johnston delivered a resilient defensive performance, effectively neutralising U.S. advances, reflecting his consistent form at club level. Conversely, Carter-Vickers struggled to organise the American backline, leading to defensive lapses. This victory marked Canada’s first consecutive wins over the U.S. since 1985, signaling a shift in North American football dynamics.
