Video: Controversy As Celtic Thump Hearts A Decade Ago

On this day in 2012, Celtic annihilated Hearts 4-0 at Tynecastle. Scott Brown, Victor Wanyama, Joe Ledley and Gary Hooper scored the goals on a night of controversy.

Hearts thought they had taken the lead in the early stages, but the referee adjudged the ball not to have crossed the line. Celtic captain Scott Brown took advantage moments later, doing his iconic Broony celebration in front of the Hearts faithful to rub salt in the wounds after putting the Bhoys ahead.

Wanyama scored a tremendous goal to double Celtic’s advantage, before Joe Ledley ensured that the Hoops were 3-0 in front after half an hour.

Gary Hooper rounded off the scoring in the second half.
