Video: Daizen Maeda completes hat-trick to give Celtic the lead

Daizen Maeda has made it 3-2 to Celtic this afternoon in an enthralling meeting with Livingston in the Scottish Cup Quarter Finals. After two first half goals, the Japanese attacker scored late to (hopefully) help secure passage to the next round.

Tomoki Iwata did well to head towards the touchline before sliding the ball in for his compatriot, who made no mistake.

Celtic have not been at their best this afternoon but credit to the visitors, who have abandoned their style of play from the league and tried to make it difficult in this cup tie.

Hopefully, this will be enough to get Celtic in the hat for the next round, which will be drawn tomorrow evening.

  1. Delighted for Maeda in getting a hat trick especially within a season where he’s looked so poor on way to many occasions to date.
Hopefully he can kick on until the end of the season now with renewed confidence gained today?
Still remains a big player for ourselves and delighted to see him finally starting to deliver this season, taken long enough all the same?
