Iwata left Celtic on deadline day as Davies called in a favour from his former boss to entice the former J League MVP to England’s third tier. In truth, Birmingham have all the makings of a Premier League club but last season, a number of factors went against them – including Tony Mowbray’s untimely leave of absence due to illness.
Fortunately Mowbray is recovering and will be watching on as The Blues look to get promoted with Davies at the helm.
