Video: Hatate puts Celtic 1-0 up in Warsaw with a stunning volley

Reo Hatate’s sumptuous volley has given Celtic a 1-0 lead against Legia Warsaw in Artur Boruc’s testimonial game in the Polish capital.

Hatate has become known for scoring superb goals in his time at Celtic Park ever since his arrival last January, with the Japanese star famously scoring two howitzers against theRangers at Paradise back in February after a long-range screamer against Hearts on his debut.

And it appears the star has continued that form once again with a well-timed volley past the ‘Holy Goalie’ in Warsaw to put Celtic one to the good against Legia.

A superb ball over the top by Anthony Ralston on his weaker foot evaded the Legia defence, but the late run from Hatate saw his vision prove fruitful.

The star still had a lot to do before netting, and his hooked volley caught Boruc unawares to give Celtic the crown at the Kings’ Party…
