Video: ‘He’ll have a say in a lot of games’, Lennon makes big prediction about Celtic star

NEIL LENNON has predicted that Leigh Griffiths will ‘have a say in a lot of games’ this season after the Scottish striker fired home a brilliant equaliser on Sunday. The 30-year-old returned to pre-season overweight which resulted in the hitman being forced to remain at home whilst Lennon took the rest of his team to England and then France.

Despite this, Lennon says that he doesn’t feel that he is owed anything by the striker, despite this behaviour in the pre-season.

The manager’s faith in Griffiths has to repaid, even if the manager downplays it. Many would have considered the indiscretions of the striker to have been final straw but Lennon has backed him and he was rewarded with a late winner in Perth and an equaliser at Aberdeen.
