Celtic midfielder Aaron Mooy was immense as Australia picked up a vital win in the World Cup in Qatar. The 32-year-old was at the heart of the best play from Graham Arnold’s side as they recorded their first win in the World Cup since 2010.
Mitchell Duke headed the Aussies to a 1-0 win against Tunisia to set up a finale against Denmark for a place in the Last 16.
Mooy started the season as a bit-part player but the injury to Callum McGregor allowed him to play regularly and perhaps the timing of the World Cup came at the right time. Mooy has looked sharp, moving the ball well and taking up clever positions.
