Video: Incoming Celtic signing Liam Shaw’s sending off for Sheffield Wednesday

Liam Shaw was sent off in his first game since signing a pre-contract with Celtic in Sheffield Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Birmingham City. The 19-year-old started in midfield for The Owls and spurned a first half chance to score. However, two bookings saw the youngster sent for an early bath with forty minutes to play.

The second yellow appears harsh as Shaw wins the ball, with his followthrough catching the player. Shaw is expected to join Celtic as a defender, with Glenn Loovens claiming that he is best suited to playing at the back.

  1. He should get used to these disgraceful decisions against him when he pulls the hoops on. Scotland isvthe most bigoted country on the planet and whilevthese two booking were a total disgrace, they should send him the warning of the bias he will face in a hoops shirt.

  2. Disagree re liam shaw bookings.i didn’t think the first one was even a foul but can see why he was booked 2nd time as although he got the ball he did lunge in.
