Callum McGregor gave an emotional interview as his side sealed the Cinch Premiership 2021/2022 with a draw at Tannadice. After the humbling of last season, an enormous rebuild was needed and McGregor was named as the new club captain. The skipper spoke to Celtic TV and said that his mum would be crying watching the teamβs success this evening.

McGregor had to step into the shoes of captain after Scott Brown left last year. Brown led through fight, power and determination whilst McGregor quietly leads through example, similar to Paul McStay. He is the beating heart of this Celtic team and we are lucky to have a player of his quality.
He now takes his place in the history of this club as a Double-winning captain and will certainly eye progression next year with Celtic entering The Champions League.
