Video: Joe Hart roars at Daizen Maeda’s Livingston clincher

Joe Hart was a relieved man today after he was sent to the showers early following a clash with Livingston player Mo Sangare. The former Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper had never been sent off prior to this Saturday afternoon and would have been kicking himself when he saw John Beaton reach into his pocket for the red card.

Brendan Rodgers tried to defend his ‘keeper after the game saying it was an “awkward” situation with the surface at the Toni Macaroni Arena playing a massive part in the flight and bounce of the ball, causing Joe some distress and subsequently causing him to clash with Sangare, taking him out of the game jsut on the edge of the Celtic box.

Celtic did really well though and Hart’s replacement today, the rarely seen Scott Bain, was strong enough to keep a clean sheet at a very tough and challenging away ground. Matt O’Riley got the second goal and Daizen Maeda finished the Lothian side off in injury time and footage has emerged of Joe in the stadium letting out a roar of relief and joy when the Japanese attacker leathered in his shot past Shamal George.

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
