Video: Greg Taylor and Callum McGregor on Celtic’s 3-0 win at Livingston

Greg Taylor was voted today’s cinch Man of the Match and was flanked on the side by his captain, Callum McGregor as he collected his award. Both men were instrumental this afternoon against David Martindale and his team and Greg in particular looked like the one we’ve come to know and love this past while under Ange Postecoglou.

Greg has definitely struggled more than most with the transition of manager at Celtic Park and hasn’t been at the races as of yet. However, today he showed exactly why he was such an integral part of the team this past couple of years and why we’ve won so much silverware with him connecting the play between the defence and midfield.

In truth, there was a few people who could have won the award for Man of the Match but Greg has pipped the others to it on this occasion. The former Killie man admitted that today the whole team did their bit after going down to ten-men, even after that gruelling mid-week test in Rotterdam with nine-men at one point agasint Feyenoord.

The Scotland international and his fellow countryman revealed that the Hoops boss implored them to remain calm and keep hold of the midfield area. Rodgers formation ensured they still had the numbers and Greg was sensational at tucking in and inverting to support his captian and Matt O’Riley, who could also have won the award too.

Listen to the guys give their reaction to that 3-0 victory below…

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
