Karamoko Dembele has said that he is “enjoying football again” after an impressive first half from the 18-year-old. Starting on Celtic’s right flank, Dembele weaved in and out of impressive positions, causing confusion for the Charlton defence. He was involved in both goals, scoring the first and helping Tony Ralston make room for the cross for Celtic’s second.
Dembele may have been taking a dig at the lack of game time under the previous regime but now he seems excited at the prospect of more minutes under Ange. Dembele is an intelligent young player and offering him chances in the first team will likely increase the club’s chances of keeping Dembele on a long-term contract.
