He just doesn’t stop scoring, does he? Kyogo Furuhashi has been on fire in almost every game he has played for the Celts, and his scoring prowess has continued tonight against AZ Alkmaar.
The forward, who signed from Vissel Kobe for £4.5million, has already etched his name into Celtic hearts for his work-rate and humbleness, never mind the goals – but they especially have helped him to become a fan favourite.
Superb work-rate from David Turnbull down the left hand side found the ball reaching Callum McGregor lurking on the edge of the area, and his ball into Tom Rogic gave the Aussie a touch of space in the channel.
And, active as ever, Kyogo peeled off his marker – who hadn’t even switched off, such was the excellence of anticipation, before stretching to plant the ball into the roof of the net. It’s been a brilliant start – let’s hope it continues!
