Video: Larsson & Lubo – Celtic’s Greatest Stars Since The Turn Of The Millennium Secure The Points

On this day in 2001, Celtic, wearing that beautiful black and white away kit, left it late to beat Motherwell at Fir Park.

Lubo Moravcik put the Bhoys ahead with an incredible swerving free kick, which thundered in off the crossbar. The fact that the goal came on his right foot, and in the week prior he had scored a left footed strike from similar range, just proves the ability of the man.

Motherwell equalised through some terrible goalkeeping and looked set to take a point until Shaun Maloney won a late penalty and Henrik Larsson smashed the spot kick into the bottom corner.

The points were heading to Paradise.
