Video: Loan Bhoy Luca Connell’s Goal Against Peterhead

Luca Connell arrived at Celtic in June 2019 with high hopes of securing a first team place. After getting a taste of the action at Paradise in pre-season friendlies, opportunities were limited for the former Bolton youngster and he was soon loaned out to Queen’s Park.

Performing well in midfield, the Irish U21 international was an integral part of the Spiders’ League Two title success. As such, Connell has been returned to the Glasgow club to develop for another season in League One.

The 20-year-old still maintains ambitions of making the grade at Celtic Park and he’s going about it in the right way with goals like this, against Peterhead yesterday afternoon.

Hopefully those types of contributions can continue from Luca throughout the campaign, and he may be back in a Celtic shirt next season.
