Video: Meet the Team at The Celtic Star

This year we plan to develop The Celtic Star’s You Tube channel and we’ve got off to a reasonable start with over 170k views without paying too much attention to it. That hopefully is going to change. In our defence we have certainly developed The Celtic Star into the site that you know and hopefully enjoy today and the site os going from strength to strength and has never been as popular as it is right now.

And we’ve also set about publishing some high quality Celtic books, the most recent being Matt Corr’s outstanding biography of Harry Hood, titled Twice as Good. This comes after David Potter’s biography of Alec McNair, titled Celtic’s Icicle and Walfrid & The Bould Bhoys written a collaboration of three Celtic Star regulars, the two already mentioned plus Liam Kelly. And of course Matt Corr kicked it off with Invincible, a brilliant account of what was Celtic’s best season since Lisbon.

So this week these three authors got together with The Celtic Star Editor David Faulds to talk about these four books and the next two, Liam Kelly’s history of Celtic in the Second World War and David Potter’s official biography of Wille Fernie, titled Putting on the Style, which will be out at Easter.

We recorded this video as a trial and weren’t planning on posting it on here, but despite numerous technical issues – involving chargers being required for laptops to David Potter’s challenges with the internet reception in his house – we decided to show it to you as it is because it’s actually packed with some great Celtic stories and plenty of our club’s legends are discussed.

Going forward these videos will be slicker, more professional and as high a quality as our site and our books, but for now just enjoy the conversation as four Celtic Supporters across the generations talk Celtic. What’s not to like?

Three of the four books are available at Celtic Star Books (link below) while Walfrid & The Bould Bhoys has completed sold out but will soon be available on Kindle.

Here’s the video of four of The Celtic Star team talking about Celtic. We have plenty of other top writers too and we’ll invite them on as we go along. Remember we know it’s unpolished, but it’s Celtic we are talking about…hope you enjoy. .
