Video: Off To Dublin In The Green (2006)

On this day, 15 years ago, Celtic beat Dunfermline Athletic 3-0 in the Scottish League Cup Final. Goals on the afternoon came from Zurawski, Maloney and Dublin.

Maciej Zurawski opened the scoring with a simple goal from a yard out, despite the best efforts of a certain Allan McGregor for the Pars’. In the second half, Shaun Maloney struck a perfect free-kick to put the Bhoys 2-0 in front, before Dion Dublin rounded off the scoring with a tidy finish from Paul Telfer’s cross.

Dublin was released at the end of the season but bowed out in style with a league and cup double. He wound down his career at Norwich City, before re-appearing on TV screens as a host on Homes Under The Hammer!
