On This Day in Celtic’s illustrious, unbroken history…
2018 – CELTIC 0 ABERDEEN 1
Three years ago, Aberdeen arrived in Glasgow knowing that a win would seal second place ahead of Rangers. Celtic, meanwhile, were there to celebrate the club’s seventh title in a row and avoid any injuries before the Scottish Cup Final with Motherwell the following week.
The encounter was scrappy and Celtic went through the motions, offering a little going forward but a bit stale as Scott Brown tried to lift the tempo with a bruising encounter with Shinnie. Considine got the winner but in all honesty, it was all about receiving the trophy.
