Video: On This Day in 2016, Ronny Deila’s Celtic set for 5IAR with win at Tynecastle

On This Day in 2016, Celtic put themselves within touching distance of winning five-in-a-row by winning 3-1 at Tynecastle. The Scottish Champions, fresh from a semi-final defeat from Rangers in The Scottish Cup, looked to seal the fifth successive title as Ronny Deila confirmed he would be leaving the club at the end of the year.

Colin Kazim-Richards scored Celtic’s first, with an excellent touch and finish. Abiola Dauda equalised for the home side.

Paddy Roberts and Leigh Griffiths struck in the second half to seal the game but not confirm the league title. Aberdeen beat Motherwell to ensure that the league would continue for another week… albeit Celtic had a nine point advantage with three games remaining and an unattainable advantage in the goal difference column.
