The official Celtic YouTube page has uploaded an exclusive interview with Matt O’Riley, as Celtic’s pre-season has started to get underway. The Celtic midfielder has opened up on what training has been like since the change in management at Celtic.

Following Ange Postecoglou’s departure from Celtic and the reinstatment of Brendan Rodgers, life at Lennoxtown has been slightly different. speaking to Celtic TV, O’Riley gave his thoughts on working with Rodgers…

So far it’s been amazing. Everyone seems quite upbeat and he brings that in terms of how he goes about things.”

“He’s not reluctant to come and sit with us at lunch, have a chat which is quite nice. It’s a nice, refreshing change in a sense to have a bit more openness about the place. I’m looking forward to that.”

“It was an amazing achievement. It has sunk it but Brendan has come in already and basically told us that’s done now isn’t it. It’s there, it’s in the history books but at the same time we have another season to do it again.”

It’s clear that Brendan’s approach is considerably different to Ange Postecoglou’s, but its great to see the players welcome the change as they prepare for another season’s campaign.
