Moi decision is down to Brendan with Elyounoussi up for Celtic return

Mohammed Elyounoussi is now a free agent after his contact expired at Southampton. Naturally this has been a topic of discussion amongst the Celtic supporters whether it would be a good thing for the club to take a chance on the Norwegian winger who had a previous two year loan spell with the club.

And many note that Brendan Rodgers is clearly a Moi fan as he previously tried to sign him for Leicester City!

However opinions seems to be split among the supporters regarding talk of a possible return for the former Basel man. He didn’t exactly set the heather on fire during his time at Celtic, but he wasn’t bad either. His record of 24 goals and 14 assists in 67 appearances make for pretty good reading.

He didn’t perform badly at Southampton either, but he was superb at Molde as we witnessed first hand and also in Switzerland with Basel. He’s also a proven international with Norway. With a player of that calibre being available on a free, he won’t be short of offers, indeed he is not short of offers.

Whether one of those clubs is Celtic remains to be seen. In the end it doesn’t matter what the supporters think, it’s down to one man, and that is Brendan Rodgers and if Moi’s coming back he’ll of course be sure that the Celtic support will back him all the way.

According to Sky Sports, Moi Elyounoussi is said to be excited about a possible return to Celtic so it’s now going to be down to Brendan to make the final decision.
