Video: Rodgers rages in post match press conference, expects more from team

Brendan Rodgers gave a stinging post-match press conference about the standards at the club after a win against St Johnstone. Celtic were 1-0 down after an hour and the manager has said that he was the “angriest he had been in his career at halftime”.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Rodgers said that there were players at the club that were wanting to be too comfortable and not attain the standards of the club and that would need to change.

It is difficult to recall when Rodgers was that raging or came across as annoyed in his players. The manager has said that he wants quality into the club during the January transfer window and you’d have to think that there will be a few players that are either moved on or replaced.

  1. Glad tae see it! I think we all are. Sick of the usual BR PR responses in interviews & some of these players need a good kick up the erse. Yang & Turnbull just 2 of them. Iwata deserves a chance tae start wi Calmac & oRiley. Kyogo needs MUCH mare service fae wide. Prayin that the “experienced” players talked aboot in January are KT & Stuart Armstrong, they’d do for me, along with a couple of others, of course.

  2. No chance of L T or S A.
