Celtic face St Johnstone tomorrow at McDiarmid Park, sitting 21 points behind Rangers. However, on the last outing, Celtic left it late to win in Perth and it was the substitutes that delivered the hammer blow to Callum Davidson’s St Johnstone. The striking duo were subbed on to try and break down a stubborn Saints defence and they made their impact with the clock at 90 mins.
Leigh Griffiths met Elhamed’s cross to give a valuable three points to the Scottish Champions as they move to the top of the table, at least until this evening. There was another goal as Patryk Klimala was clattered in attack before bouncing back up and slotting the ball beyond Zander Clark.
Hopefully tomorrow is more convincing for Celtic and in-keeping with the form of the last three games.
