Video: Stephen Welsh discusses Celtic breakthrough and plans for bringing silverware to Paradise

Stephen Welsh has spoken to The Celtic View podcast about his first team breakthrough with Celtic and also his plans to bring silverware back to Paradise after a difficult season. The 21-year-old has been a standout for Celtic this season, where the team have fallen way below expectations.

Welsh first made his debut last season in a win over Hamilton but backed up an impressive debut with solid displays this season, where defensive stability was thin on the ground. Welsh will be hoping to kick on under a new boss, proving that Lennon was right to introduce him into the starting XI.

The Coatbridge-born youngster has made ten appearances, scoring once in the win over Motherwell earlier this year. Whilst there is no news yet on who will replace Neil Lennon next season, Welsh will be hopeful that he has a place in the new set up.
