It was always going to be important to get the first goal today to prevent Motherwell from sitting in and protecting a lead, so this is the perfect start for Celtic.
Stephen Welsh has been given the nod this afternoon ahead of Shane Duffy so he will be looking to prove he can be a regular starter, and adding goals to his game will certainly improve those chances:
