Video: Superb volley draws Legia level as Celtic lead crumbles

Celtic have thrown away a 2-0 lead in the Polish capital after a superb volley by Portugal star Josue drew Legia Warsaw level in Artur Boruc’s testimonial game.

Maciej Rosolek had halved the deficit just 41 seconds into the second-half after some weak defending by Cameron Carter-Vickers, and the home side looked to be piling on the pressure after a drab first-half themselves.

The Ekstraklasa giants had been by far the inferior side before the interval, although Celtic’s lack of intensity throughout the second half meant that the Scottish champions were ultimately ready to surrender their lead as time dragged on under Boruc’s final farewell.

And that it did, with Josue’s delicate first touch and volley nestling in the far corner to leave Scott Bain hapless and Celtic without the lead for the first time in over 45 minutes.

Celtic need to wake up before they end up surrendering the game on the big occasion for big Artur…

  1. Two sloppy goals to lose first one CCV bullied off the ball ,second goal terrible defending Turnbull doesn’t get close to player he does well to get shot on target but superb volley it wasn’t.
Again we start second half of games asleep
Must realise there certain players keep getting chances,Johnston horrendous Julien wants too many touches Bain poor punched two crosses when easier to hold McCarthy on one minute makes terrible pass Legia nearly score no aggression in midfield second half and don’t know how to play with Kyogo
