Video: The bizarre winning goal that gave Celtic all three points

Celtic recorded all three points this afternoon against Aberdeen at Celtic Park. Ange Postecoglou’s side took the lead through a Jota goal before Aberdeen pulled one back from the spot thanks to Lewis Ferguson, levelling this up at the break.

Celtic got a deserved lead in bizarre circumstances with Callum McGregor netting, even if the skipper didn’t know too much about it. James McCarthy slid a tidy ball into the path of Liel Abada, who was spurned by Joe Lewis before Jonny Hayes went to hook the ball clear. His ball thundered off of McGregor and rippled the net.

The points are the most important thing to take from the game, especially after a tough trip to Germany. Ange’s team have a busy schedule in the coming weeks with Hearts visiting next Thursday before a trip to Tannadice on Sunday.
