Video: The Celtic Star’s Sunday Round-Up

There have been a lot of talking points since Celtic’s 2-0 victory over Hibernian on Monday night. International call ups have seen some players stay, whilst Rogic and Maeda are set to miss crucial games. Injury updates on Jota, Bitton and Kyogo bring mixed news. Meanwhile, 21 year old midfielder Matt O’Riley has signed from MK Dons to bolster Ange Posecoglou’s options.

The second match of the week saw Celtic advance to the 5th round of the Scottish Cup with a narrow 2-1 victory over lowly Alloa Athletic. However, the victory came at a cost as three players were injured, including captain Callum McGregor who appears to have suffered a broken cheekbone.

Goals on the evening came from Giakoumakis and Abada, Sammon scoring for the hosts. Those topics and the game’s flashpoints are discussed in the video below, while Celtic’s opponents in the fifth round draw are also revealed.
