Football for Good Fund reaches £1.5m milestone

Since March 2020, Celtic FC Foundation have set out to help those most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic under the banner of the Football for Good Fund (FFGF).

And today, eighteen months later, we are delighted to announce that the FFGF has reached a mammoth milestone of £1.5MILLION, with the Foundation investing another £250K into the emergency response initiative.

Reaching this milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the magnificent generosity of the Celtic Family, and everyone here at Celtic FC Foundation would like to sincerely thank you for helping us to make a difference.

The Foundation will work alongside our existing partners to deliver additional support to those most in need in our local communities and further afield as we start to come out the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We will continue to focus our efforts on tackling three key issues – assisting those who are facing food and fuel poverty, and providing mental health support to those who need it most in Scotland, Ireland, the wider UK, and overseas.

It has been a period of hardship and repeated uncertainty for the most vulnerable in our society, and this will likely continue for many people as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic due to rising costs, including fuel, and the end of a number of key support schemes.
