Video: Unique Angle as Celtic win comfortably at Livingston

Celtic TV have released the Unique Angle of Saturday’s 3-0 win at the Tony Macaroni Arena. The Scottish Champions went into the game following a UEFA Champions League defeat to Feyenoord in Rotterdam.

Reo Hatate opened the scoring from the spot after being fouled. The Japanese midfielder was played in by a lovely pass from Greg Taylor. Midway through the first half, Joe Hart received his marching orders – the first of his career. The ball appeared to stick in the surface, resulting the ball not coming through to the goalie. John Beaton showed no hesitation in flashing the red card.

What happened next was credit to the manager and his players. James Forrest was sacrificed with Scott Bain coming on. Brendan Rodgers decided to go narrow and stick Daizen Maeda and Kyogo up front together. The partnership combined for the second goal, which Matt O’Riley finished off.

Maeda produced a moment of sheer brilliance to finish the scoring off. The Japanese forward cut back inside onto his weaker left foot and blasted the ball into the net.

It was a comfortable win in the end but the confidence that the team showed in the game will have pleased the manager and fans alike.
